This is the first whole book that I have read in Swedish. It's a kids book, so the language is simple enough for me to understand; but there are some words that I had to look up in a dictionary.
At first I thought that the book would be about trolls wearing hats, because the title sounds like that. When I read the story, I discovered that it wasn't about trolls at all - but about a magic hat!
In the story, Nico - the main character - has been off school, sick, for a week. When he returns, he is surprised to see all his friends dressed up in costumes. He is sad and ashamed that he is wearing his normal, everyday clothes. He doesn't even want to be in the class photo. His friends try to help him, by telling him to look in the teacher's dress-up box, but he is too proud and refuses. I think that Nico should not be so proud, he could join in and have fun with the others if he wanted to.
At the end, they all attend a Magician's show, where something happens that finally makes Nico smile. I won't tell you what is is as I think you should read it for yourself!
I would rate this story 4 out of 5 stars, if you are aged 5-9 ****
