The Emperor of Nihon-Ja (book 10)
Author: John Flanagan

Betrayed! The emperor of Nihon-Ja is betrayed by the Senshi or fighting class of Nihon-Ja, a country in the Far East. When Horace and George, old ward mates from castle Redmont in Araluen, are in Nihon-Ja learning sword techniques and resigning papers, Halt, Will and Alyss are in Toscana overseeing that a contract is written and signed properly. This famous group is split up and Horace feels the need to fight for the emperor, who has become a good friend, though it's not his battle. The rebellion is causing terror and destruction across Nihon-Ja, chasing the emperor, seeking to kill him and overtake the throne. The emperor is fleeing in search of a place to hide and bid his time, meanwhile word gets to the Araluen party in Toscana. Will the emperor win, and will the Araluen party come in time? Nihon-Jas future hangs on the skills of the Araluens....

I first started reading the previous books in this series and then this book because my friend said that it was very good and so I started reading it. We bought the first four books and I really liked them. I didn't think that I would read all those four books so fast, but I read them all and then we had to buy the whole series because it's unputdownable!

I admire and love this book and the whole series because it's an exciting book with great cliffhangers making you read more, and is written so well and is so detailed that you can barely put the book down. I recommend this book for both boys and girls. This book is the last book in the series and it's very important to read all the books in order so you understand the whole fantastic story!!

I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars because it's a fantastic book filled with adventure and action
***** out of *****
